Assemblage is an artistic process in which a three-dimensional composition is created by combining non-artistic objects. It should be noted that these objects share the characteristic of not having been designed with aesthetic purposes in mind; rather, they are rediscovered by artists, who incorporate them into their works —together or individually— to express a message or emotion.

In Catalan: assemblatge, in English: assembly, in French: assemblée, in German: assemblage.
